At OUMMI BASICS, we pay particular attention to the materials we use to create our pieces. For several years, we have been trying to develop clothing made from natural fibers as much as possible, including cotton, wool, and certain technical natural materials that we carefully select.

Why this choice?

Quite simply because natural fibers offer incomparable comfort, especially when wearing loose-fitting clothing daily. They are breathable, pleasant on the skin, and often better tolerated, especially for people with sensitive skin.

Personally, I almost exclusively wear 100% cotton, as it is the material I tolerate best. And I know that many customers are also looking for this type of composition.

This is therefore an area that we are developing more and more within the brand, especially with the arrival of the spring and summer collections.

Our 100% cotton sportswear range

We already have several pieces made entirely of cotton, especially in our sportswear range.

Piqué cotton: a structured natural material

Another natural material we offer is 100% natural piqué cotton.

This is a particularly interesting fabric because it combines the breathability of cotton with a slightly textured structure, which results in pieces that are both comfortable and elegant. It is the same material used by brands like Lacoste and Ralph Lauren for their famous polo shirts.

Natural wool pieces

For cooler seasons, we also offer some pieces made of natural wool.

This is notably the case for the HIGHLAND PLAID SKIRT

This skirt is made from wool flannel, a soft, warm material that is particularly comfortable to wear in winter. It provides real warmth while remaining elegant, with a very high-quality drape.

A warm 100% cotton knit: the WARMY CARDIGAN

Among our warmer pieces, we also offer the WARMY CARDIGAN, made from 100% cotton.

It is a fairly heavy knit, designed to keep you warm while remaining breathable. This piece has received excellent feedback from our customers, particularly for its quality and durability.

An approach we are developing more and more

Natural fibers are an area we wish to develop more and more within OUMMI BASICS, especially with the arrival of summer collections.

We are currently considering creating a specific category on the website, which would bring together all pieces made from 100% natural fibers, to facilitate the search for those who prioritize this type of material.
