The True Story of Daily Dress
Clarification of accusations and clarification on collaboration
I am writing this report to set the record straight regarding the public accusations made against me by Leila, my collaborator on the DAILY DRESS brand.

1 - Accusations linked to the Instagram account DAILY DRESS
First of all, it's important to remember that the @dailydresswear Instagram account was a joint account, managed jointly by Leila and myself. From the very beginning, all decisions were made in consultation.
However, over time, Leila expressed a desire to take over management of the account and the brand. Several facts illustrate this intention:
• She took sole credit for the work done in collaboration.
• She unilaterally changed the account password under the pretext of a strike on her part.
• She publicly accused me of stealing an action that was a simple technical adjustment.
I would like to further clarify the situation regarding the Instagram account:
My colleague changed the account password without informing me, claiming she was on strike. During this time, she deleted many posts, the result of my hard work and long hours of editing. It was only five days later that she finally gave me the new password, following my repeated requests.

During this period when I no longer had access to our brand's account, I noticed that the email address associated with the account was not the brand's official one, but an address to which only she had access, which she had created on her own without telling me, which had never been agreed upon for a joint account.
Once Leila sent me the new password she had created, I made several changes to the Instagram account for a common and fair purpose, to ensure fair management and to ensure that such a situation does not happen again in the future. I replaced the email address she had associated ( dailydressmodestwear@gmail.com an address she had created on her own without informing me ) with the official address of the brand, dailydresswear@gmail.com , which was our common email address.
I also added my phone number to the account to enable two-factor authentication, a security system that protects account access by requiring a verification code sent via SMS each time I log in. These changes were intended to ensure fair management of the account and prevent her from unilaterally cutting off my access again in the future.

As soon as this change was made, she publicly accused me of theft and illegitimate appropriation of the Instagram account, even though I informed her at the same time via WhatsApp that she still had access to the account and that I had only updated the email address.
Today, neither she nor I actually have access to the Instagram account. In practical terms, the current situation is blocked: when she tries to log in, I receive a code by SMS, because my phone number is linked to the account. Conversely, when I try to log in, she receives a code by email, her address also being linked to the account (given that she did not validate the change of email address that I had made, it is her email address, to which only she had access, that remains linked to the account). In other words, neither of us can access it alone. Access would only be possible if one of us voluntarily sent the code to the other, which clearly demonstrates that the security of the account is based on a form of mutual cooperation, and not on a desire for exclusion.
The accusations made publicly by Leila therefore amount to slander and unjustified denigration, intended to harm my image and professional reputation. I reserve the right to take the necessary measures to protect my interests and assert my rights.

2 - Financial accusations
Following Leila's public statements, I would like to provide essential clarifications to re-establish the truth.
1 - Clarification on misleading statements regarding brand revenues
I would like to clarify some information regarding the financial management of Daily Dress and our co-founding agreement.
From the outset, we agreed that the brand's profits would be systematically reinvested to ensure its growth. We personally invested in the brand's development, covering the purchase of raw materials, as well as the costs of sewing and shipping providers.
It was understood that until all invested funds were repaid, we would not receive any salary or personal benefit.
It is in this context that my colleague claims to have never earned a single euro: not because the brand generates no income, nor because I would have sought to appropriate all the profits or to harm it, but because together we had chosen to prioritize its expansion, through the development of new models, the purchase of new fabrics in order to increase our production capacities before obtaining any personal remuneration.
Here is the example of how the accounting was handled as agreed:
- Initially, the company was in the investment phase. As with any business, it was first necessary to cover production costs, service costs (sewing, shipping, order preparation, payment platforms) and, above all, to repay the initial investment that enabled the project to launch.
- The goal was to ensure long-term profitability. The first year was used to repay the sums invested to create and structure the business. Once this investment was covered, the second year would have been the year of net profit, with truly profitable revenues.
- Leila wanted to make people believe that she had earned nothing, thus ignoring her financial commitments. She ignored the fact that the company first had to stabilize its finances, continue to pay its monthly expenses/taxes, and repay its initial investments before generating a real profit. With a long-term vision, she would have understood that everything would become profitable in the second year. Unfortunately, she preferred to leave before seeing the fruits of her labor, leaving all the responsibility to others.
- By abruptly leaving the collaboration, she left me behind with unfulfilled responsibilities:
• Stocks to be sold alone
• Bills to pay
• Current financial commitments
3 - Her public communication aims only to tarnish my image, while she herself refused any written formalization of the collaboration.
Despite my repeated requests, she refused to draw up a contract, which would have avoided any ambiguity and clearly established everyone's commitments.
The accusations she has made against me publicly are not only unfounded, but they demonstrate a clear desire to harm my reputation.
On her social media, Leila claimed to have contacted me again with the intention of reaching an agreement, particularly financially, in connection with the work she had done. However, this is completely false.
The message she sent me was not constructive at all: it was full of insults, reproaches, and criticism, without any real desire for dialogue or the search for a solution. Faced with this aggressive and emotional attitude, I decided to block her, not out of contempt, but to preserve a healthy environment.
I also expressed the wish that we could each involve an intermediary on our respective sides, so that they could arbitrate the situation in a fair and balanced manner, without emotions taking over from respect.
4 - Unauthorized marketing of products outside our online store.
Leila recently claimed on social media that she had “not received a single euro” from our joint venture. This statement, while technically worded to appear accurate, deliberately omits essential details.
During our collaboration, Leila received all of the brand's pieces, in all available colors—over 150 items, representing an estimated value of over €4,000 in production costs. These pieces were provided to her as part of our partnership, with a clear commitment: to wear them and promote them on her social media to contribute to the brand's visibility and development.
However, this commitment was only partially respected. She resold the products on her personal Vinted store at the same price as the one charged on our official website – without any prior agreement or profit sharing. She thus kept all the profits from these sales, estimated at between €8,000 and €10,000.
This action constitutes a clear breach of the trust established in our partnership. By reselling items intended to promote our brand behind my back and taking all the profits, Leila acted dishonestly.
It is therefore profoundly inaccurate and misleading to suggest that she “perceived nothing.”

3 - Accusation of theft and selling stolen goods
My colleague publicly accused me of selling stolen goods, citing religious opinions such as this: "Praise be to Allah. It is not permissible to buy stolen goods, nor to help sell them, nor to receive them as gifts or donations..."
Yet, this fatwa has absolutely no connection with our situation. She herself made the decision to end our collaboration, leaving me to manage the inventory we had alone, without ever having spent a single euro on the purchase of this merchandise. I was the one who paid for the entire cost. How could I have "stealed" something from her that she didn't finance? In the interest of fairness, and not wanting to continue to support the DAILY DRESS brand that we had built together, I made the decision to liquidate the remaining inventory.
In my opinion, this is a responsible way to close a joint project, for which I now find myself assuming the responsibilities and responsibilities alone.

Leila also accused me of intellectual property theft, claiming that she was the sole creator of the designs and that she alone had imagined them. These accusations are not only unfounded, but also disrespectful to the work we put in throughout our collaboration. The reality is that this was always a joint effort. I was constantly the one transmitting precise measurements, adjustments, and final modifications to my pattern maker.
The creation of the pieces has always been a shared process, not a unilateral one. To design clothes, you have to be there, see them, touch them, adjust them, and it's a job that I always did alone, since she wasn't physically present to participate in these stages. In addition to this personal investment, I also, as I mentioned above, invested financially in this company: I assumed the costs, the raw materials, the production. My commitment was therefore not limited to management or coordination, but also extended to the financing and development of the project. These accusations of intellectual property theft are therefore completely unjustified, because they erase the reality of a collaborative work in which I was fully invested, at all levels.
In the event that Leila allows herself to reuse the models created during our collaboration within her new company, modifying them as she sees fit while appropriating their design, I also reserve this right. These pieces were the result of a joint effort, both creatively, technically and financially. It is therefore not acceptable for her to grant herself the sole legitimacy to exploit the designs, as if she were the sole author. If she chooses to continue using these models by reworking them in her image, I give myself the same freedom, in all legitimacy, to develop and reuse these creations in my own projects.
4 - Multiple attempts to harm me
Since our relationship ended, Leila has taken several actions on social media with the clear aim of harming my business. Here are some concrete examples of what she has done:
• She tried to mobilize her community to massively report my Instagram account for "fraud", in the hope that I would lose access to my social networks and be forced to stop my business. It was not the joint account DAILY DRESS that she asked her subscribers to report, but my professional account OUMMI MUSLIM on which I have been working for four years.
• She also encouraged her followers to report my website via a Google form link she shared, with the aim of having it suspended and preventing me from continuing to market my items.
• She publicly accused me of selling stolen goods, thus calling for a boycott of my store among her subscribers, relying on religious arguments that were completely out of context.
• She sought to revive an old story dating from 2022 involving another associate, a matter that was nevertheless legally settled by the establishment of a contract accepted and signed by the latter, who herself wanted to withdraw from the project. A completely different situation from that of Leila, which she tried to use to manipulate opinion and legitimize her own accusations, while deliberately omitting essential elements.
• She went so far as to consider and publicly discuss legal action against me in Egypt on her social media, with the clear aim of having me imprisoned. She approached this topic in a trivial manner, as if it were legitimate and normal, clearly showing that she really wants to harm me, even on a personal and legal level.
• Leila has written several chapters about me through her Instagram posts, recounting, in her own way, our collaboration around the brand. However, she has omitted many essential details, thus distorting reality. Worse still, her writings contain lies, slander, and a lot of backbiting about me. These chapters were not created in a sincere attempt to find a solution or justice; their main purpose was to entertain her audience, going so far as to give titles to each of them, instead of being honest in her stories. What she has done, as well as the comments she has made, are extremely serious and I hope that she will realize this one day when she comes to her senses.
• From the moment Leila began publicly accusing me on her social media of “stealing” our brand’s Instagram account, she immediately urged her followers to request a refund for their orders, including those already shipped or in the process of being processed. This approach was initiated impulsively and without foundation.
5 - His ultimate goal & conclusion
Since the beginning of our collaboration, it's now clear that Leila had a very specific goal in mind: to create her own brand. Although she initially claimed to want to build a joint project, her true intentions gradually became clear over time.
Lacking the necessary skills, funding, or confidence that it would work, she initially relied on our work to get started. Throughout this collaboration, she was extremely critical, focusing on the smallest flaws, constantly questioning the quality of my work and that of my team, without ever acknowledging our efforts or making any constructive contributions.
I am someone who accepts criticism when it is formulated constructively, with kindness and with the intention of helping progress. I even consider that questioning oneself is essential to move forward and improve. However, when criticism is made solely for the purpose of denigrating, humiliating or belittling, as was often the case with Leila, it becomes difficult to bear mentally. It was no longer a healthy exchange, but an accumulation of remarks, with no real desire to bring anything positive or to change things.
In reality, she had long known that she could count on a close friend whose business is website creation, and was waiting for the right moment to sideline me. The situation took a revealing turn when I activated two-factor authentication on the Instagram account: feeling dispossessed of what she thought she could control, she immediately published a story accusing me of account theft, without even telling me beforehand. This hasty action clearly showed that she had other things in mind with this Instagram account than equitable joint management.
This suspicion was confirmed when she wrote in one of her Instagram stories: "It's clear I was going to have to find a way to leave this workshop." So she wasn't looking to change the collaboration, but to leave it, without knowing how to do it without tarnishing her image - but she was, on the other hand, quite ready to tarnish mine, knowing that it would get people talking on social media and generate visibility for her future brand.
This is also why she continued to talk about it, and why she continues to this day, two months later, to keep this story alive to attract attention around her. Added to this are the denigrating remarks she made about me in front of my little sister who had accompanied her to take her picture in Paris, and even in front of my mother, during her first visit to our house, an attitude that I found inappropriate and revealing her total lack of respect and consideration from the start.
Throughout our collaboration, I repeatedly suggested that we establish a written contract to formalize each other's roles, responsibilities, and commitments. Despite my repeated requests, Leila consistently refused or avoided implementing this approach. This persistent refusal to establish a framework for our collaboration raises serious questions and suggests that she had a very specific intention from the outset: to maintain a certain freedom of action and to absolve herself of responsibility in the event of a conflict.
Conclusion
I wrote this report not with the aim of harming Leila, but to reestablish my truth in the face of the unfounded accusations and numerous slanders she has made against me and my company over the past few weeks. I have taken care to remain as factual and objective as possible, sticking to concrete and verifiable facts.
My intention is not to fuel the conflict, but to allow everyone to better understand the situation as a whole. Beyond her slander, Leila also attempted to manipulate public opinion by influencing her followers to make me appear as the person who was causing her harm. Yet, it was she who made the decision to end the collaboration and make this conflict public. For my part, the few responses I have provided publicly have always been very concise, as I did not wish to fuel the debate or enter into a conflictual exchange. However, given the seriousness of the accusations against me, it seemed essential to me to put things into context. Many took a position without ever seeking to hear my version of the facts, sometimes in a virulent or unfair manner. I made the choice to block these people, not out of resentment, but because it seemed essential to me to set a limit in the face of an attitude that lacked fairness and respect.
To those sisters who took sides without even trying to hear my side of the story, I would like to say this: don't believe everything you see on social media. Just because a post is widely shared, or someone has a large following, doesn't automatically mean they're telling the truth. Today, I'm speaking out because I'm directly affected by these accusations. But if I were in your shoes, as a mere bystander on social media, I would have stayed away from it because I wouldn't have known the whole story.
I found it very inappropriate that some people reacted publicly, or even re-shared comments, without being certain of their veracity. Especially since we are Muslims, and if we take the time to find out, our religion clearly teaches us the importance of verifying information before relaying it, and warns against injustice and slander.
Today, I am finally speaking out, and I am leaving everyone free to form their own opinion.
