Oummi Muslim: When entrepreneurship becomes obvious

As salam wa aleykoum akhawates,

I hope you are all well and that everything is going well on your end.

Today I decided to improvise as a writer in this little article 🙈
I really hope you enjoy it and manage to read it to the end!

I would like to talk to you about entrepreneurship and you can imagine that when we slowly but surely move towards our beautiful religion, it is a choice that comes naturally.

When we begin to want to get closer to our Lord, by veiling ourselves in a legislated way, by praying on time and being able to organize ourselves as we wish, it is the freedom that entrepreneurship offers that we covet.

So the idea came from there.
A desire to be free and to work in a field which, in addition to being exciting, does not cause the inconvenience of Allah Azzawajel.

A freedom which is moreover a great facility for maintaining a family balance.
Being able to fulfill one's duties to one's husband, seeing one's children grow up... so many elements that make this choice an obvious one.

I assure you, there are many advantages but as with everything, there are also many disadvantages.
The workload is multiplied, there is no real break, when we have to work we have to do it because no one will do it for us.
There is also a lot of stress and doubts, it is difficult to guarantee any income.
Trade is quite volatile...

Nevertheless, the game is worth the candle, as the saying goes.

That feeling of personal satisfaction when you start and see that it works 🤩
What ni3ma wa LhamduLilleh!

Now, let’s talk more about the Oummi Muslim adventure…

Beyond the buying and selling aspect that many beginners get started with, what is more interesting is thinking about, developing and developing your own models.
Models that emanate from our own minds, inspirations that particularly touch us...

When these creations see the light of day, and sisters buy them and give you positive feedback, it's pure joy.

Little anecdote

With this company, we started from nothing, except a lot of determination and motivation.

At the end of 2020, our first model was launched and was a great success Allahuma Barik, but that wasn't necessarily what we were telling ourselves throughout the development process.
There are a lot of doubts, apprehensions, and fears too, because we are attached to our model but have no certainty that it will please.

Al HamduLilleh, when we saw the success of meeting our first "baby", an immense joy took hold of us and our level of motivation and determination literally exploded!

As you will have understood, roller coasters are part of our daily lives, we can go from doubt to extreme joy in just a few minutes.

Then little by little, we continued to experiment with our own creations.
Note that when we started, we had just moved to Egypt.

So you can imagine that landing in a completely new country that you know nothing about and don't speak the language was a real ordeal!
Very difficult to make yourself understood and much more likely to make mistakes or encounter problems.

But Al HamduLilleh, when the intentions are there, الله Azzawajel makes it easy!

Being an entrepreneur also means accepting failure.

It is clear that no one can boast of having a homogeneous career path.
Business is very volatile as I told you previously and entrepreneurship is an adventure strewn with pitfalls.
We have been through many trials.

Lack of experience didn't help matters either. No one is born an entrepreneur; 90% of the time, you learn on the job. You have to know that a business depends on a lot of factors; it's not just you, but an entire ecosystem that's at stake.
Suppliers, tailors, transporters, etc.

A little anecdote that makes me smile today but which, I assure you, made me cry a while back ahah

I remember the time I completely got the fabric wrong for my new Jilbab collection, I only realized it after all the Jilbabs had been made from the wrong fabric...
You end up with a mountain of pieces that had nothing to do with your basic idea, what's more in a fabric that you absolutely didn't want, it was very hard...

Alhamdoulilah, it was a blessing in disguise, as it allowed us to organize a charity sale following this incident.

This is what is so wonderful about our beautiful religion: whatever happens, we always end up putting things into perspective and seeing the good in it.
And what a relief for the heart to live like this.
This transforms any course difficulty into a new opportunity and a hidden blessing!

I'm not even talking about the hassle of customs clearance at the airport, the days spent running around trying to retrieve a missing document that's blocking our goods and other adventures...
Especially from a distance, unmanageable! Thank you mom and other members of my family who sometimes had to take over.

As you will have understood, independence has a price and sometimes it is very difficult to digest 😂
But Al hamduLilleh it is only positive in its entirety and it allows to be a cause for many sisters to be able to veil themselves and love each other with their veil.

It is very important for us to be able to offer models that are legislated while also being beautiful.

Our sisters are all beautiful. May Allah Azzawajel preserve us more in his obedience.
Feeling good in your clothes also means feeling good in your daily life.
This is a subject that we will cover in a future article, in sha Allah.

May Allah grant us sincerity in intention and allow this tijara and us to be a cause of good for the Ummah and for the modesty of our sisters 🫶🏼

We leave the comments open so you can share your opinions, feedback and questions if you have any.
Don't hesitate, we need your valuable feedback.

Any business needs your opinions and feedback.
This is what allows us to evolve and offer you things that will meet your expectations.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and I hope you found this article useful and informative.
Another VERY big thank you to you for your trust, loyalty and support.

We hope you enjoyed this format. If there are any themes that speak to you and you would like us to cover them, please let us know.

May Allah Azawajel protect you,

See you soon In Sha'Allah
